Portrait Painting ProcedureThe portrait procedure begins with a meeting to discuss and agree upon the mood, the size, and background of the portrait. The clothing, setting, and where the painting will hang are also discussed. Each painting is carefully thought out with careful insight about the personality of the subject. At this time, or at another meeting, Leah will take numerous photographs, notes and sketches. Then she will return to her studio to work on a small preliminary oil sketch and a full size preliminary drawing of the portrait. These are presented to the client for approval and/or adjustments. Some live sittings may be requested and one final sitting is requested for any minor adjustments. Upon completion, the portrait will be delivered with insured satisfaction. |
